Will shares striking similarities with Lorelei: both are the initial challengers of the Kanto Elite Four, have employed Slowbro and Jynx, sport similar hairstyles, and their hair has been portrayed in shades of purple or red.

In Generation II and HeartGold and SoulSilver, Will stands out as the sole Elite Four member at the Indigo Plateau who exclusively employs Pokémon of his specialty type in the initial match.  Others incorporate at least one Pokémon outside their specialty initially, later substituting them with those of their expertise, Lance being the exception.

In Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver, Will stands out as the only Elite Four member at the new Indigo Plateau with a team comprised entirely of dual-typed Pokémon, none of which are pure Psychic-type.

Will stands tall as the first member of the Indigo Elite Four in Generations II and IV, showcasing his mastery of Psychic-type Pokémon. With his diverse team and strategic prowess, he leaves a lasting impression as a formidable trainer in the Pokémon world.
