In “The Mandarin Island Miss Match” Lorelei appeared with her name changed to Prima in the English dub. Referred to as a Pokémon Master instead of an Elite Four member, Prima gave a lecture and battle demonstration on Mandarin Island South. She later intervened in Ash’s battle, using her Slowbro to help him recall Charizard when it became disobedient.

Ash and his companions attended Prima’s demonstration at Mandarin Stadium, witnessing her defeat three consecutive Trainers. Later, they visited her home, where Ash persistently requested a one-on-one battle. Prima eventually agreed, and Ash’s Pikachu faced off against her Cloyster, resulting in Ash’s defeat. Prima advised Ash to tap into his inner strength and connect with his Pokémon more deeply.

Team Rocket appeared, but Prima swiftly dispatched them with her Jynx. She then bid farewell to the group, informing Ash that the nearest Gym was the Trovita Gym. Prima and her counsel to Ash were later mentioned by Misty in “Wired for Battle!”, correctly identifying her as an Elite Four member in the dub.
