In the episode ”A Dream Encounter!”, a Clefairy owned by Lusamine was featured in a fantasy, evolving into a Clefable. Clefable made her first physical appearance in the episode titled “Faba’s Revenge!”.

 

Other appearences include:

 

  • In ”Clefairy and the Moon Stone”, a large group of Clefairy used Metronome to blast Team Rocket away. Particles from the giant Moon Stone then fell on some of the Clefairy, causing them to evolve into Clefable, marking the species’ debut.
  • In ”A Real Cleffa-Hanger”, multiple Clefable appeared during another Mt. Moon Festival alongside a group of Clefairy. They were searching for a missing Cleffa and later helped send Team Rocket blasting off.

In “Pikachu’s Vacation” Clefable was spotted at the Pokémon Theme Park. In “Stage Fight!” Clefable played a role in a stage show featuring “talking” Pokémon. In Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga, Clefairy serves as Red’s starter Pokémon, known for its rudeness and perceived foolishness, earning the nickname “Blockhead Clefairy”.  Red’s Clefairy has the ability to evolve into Clefable, and while it did evolve in the past, it has since devolved back to the Clefairy stage. Pokémon have the capability to reverse the evolution process, and Clefairy initially evolved into Clefable in the episode titled “Clefairy Evolves… At Last?!”

 

Whitney possesses a Clefable, a childhood companion of Clefairy, showcased in the intense clash titled “Fierce Battle Between Clefairy and Clefable.”
